So, I am hosting a baby "shower" ( more like a diaper party) for a friend out here. She is having her second girl and doesn't need really anything. We are just celebrating baby and having brunch ( out) and bringing a pack of diapers/ wipes.
I want to decorate the table but I'm not sure how to go about it. I don't even know how many people it will be for, since she hasn't given me a guest list yet. I need DIY options since I won't have time to order much! I was definitely thinking balloons, tablecloths, and mini diaper cakes... if I can find some cute styles. Should I go further?
I was also going to make an E-Vite on photoshop and email it out. Not classy enough?? She said she didn't mind, but I'm interested in the general consensus.

I am always a fan of flowers to decorate tables. It's simple and not cheesy. Maybe 1 diaper cake as the centerpiece and then a few small low flower arrangements along the table?

Save yourself the hassle and see if the restaurant can do a cake for you and decorate the table with pink, yellow, and white linens. You can always bring in a few small floral arrangements and make those the prizes if you do any games...if not you can send them home with mom.
I don't think the E-vite is tacky...it's sounds pretty informal and you're pressed for time.

Also, If you know what the baby's name is going to be, I've seen wooden letters spelling out the name, painted and sitting on a table as decoration at a baby shower.
It sounds like you have good ideas and I don't think you need to go much further unless you want to.

This is a good idea! You could also put glass jars full of pink and white candies out as decoration and snack

Thanks y'all!! They haven't settled on a name yet. If they do before the shower, she'll be announcing it there. I really like the idea of candies sitting out, next to some cupcakes maybe. I might make a small paper bunting to run over the table with a table cloth. That with balloons and a diaper cake should be the ticket.
