I'm at my wit's end and soooo sick of looking at paint samples on my walls. We recently moved into a new construction home outside of Seattle, it's "vibe" leans more modern than our former, homey Midwestern traditional.
I'm trying to work with our existing taupe furniture and orange accessories, while simultaneously update and get away from beige. Problem is, I can't find that *perfect* greige paint color for the walls.... So far I've swatched: *BM Revere Pewter, looks like a silver with green tones. Also too light *SW Anew Grey, too purple and dark *SW Accessable Beige (builder color), too beige and pale *BM Pashmina, too dark and too brown *SW Analytical Gray, a touch too dark and leans violet
Soooo.... Suggestions? I'm thinking of trying BM Himalayan Trek or Grant Beige (Probably too light). Sigh. Essentially I want what Accessable Beige looks like in the shadowy corners of our rooms.
I have SW Porpoise in my dining room and LOVE it because it's so warm, but it would be way too dark for you. Amazing Gray is on the same color strip and might be worth checking out.
Have you looked at SW Versatile Gray or Perfect Greige? They are on the same card.
We are painting the main living spaces Versatile Gray, to ready the house for sale, and are finding it to be true to it's name...very versatile (and yet not overly gray).
We used SW Perfect Greige in the guest bedroom and I like how warm it is. It goes well with our stained wood trim and new hickory flooring which has a orange undertone so that might be worth a try.
