So I received my tulip bulbs that I ordered from The Netherlands in late October. We got snow right away (live in Canada) before I could get them in the ground. They are currently in a box in the garage. Do you think I could plant them in the spring? Or should I wait until next fall? Does anyone have any experience with this?
You will probably want to take them out of their box and place them in a pot of barely damp peat moss or even barely damp sand. You don't want the bulbs to dry out before you can get them in the ground.
Also, next spring and summer, keep them in a cool dark location (not the garage) which will also help keep them from drying out.
They key is to not let them dry out since once they do, the chances of them "bouncing back" once they are planted are slim.
