The last time Jelly Bean wore a diaper to daycare was sometime in March. She still wears one at nap time (although if the teachers forget she almost always stays dry) and one to bed at night. I also put one on her for long car rides if she will likely fall asleep.
So yesterday when I picked her up from daycare she had had an accident. I really didn't think much of it since she had been out of daycare for almost two weeks. I new it was likely her routine was a bit off.
When I go to wash the clothes last night the poop is still in her underwear. This isn't acceptable, right? I used to work daycare and there is no way I wouldn't have tried to clean out the undies a bit. There are a few newer teachers in the afternoon so I think is something that can be addressed and corrected easily.
My question for you is - when/if your child has an accident at school does the school wash the clothes for you? Just bag them up? Something entirely different?
I worked in a day care a few summers ago. I would've tried to get as much out as possible, and if were still early in the day, I would've thrown it in our laundry. Yeah, I think you can just ask them to give it a quick rinse so it doesn't stain. No biggie. Probably just a "duh" moment.

We haven't started to PT yet, but ours always tries to clean things up before sending them home if he has a blowout. They always put them in a plastic bag and tie it up, and we take it home and put it straight in the laundry.
I can't tell you how many sets of soiled clothes came home their first year in preschool. They would try to get the solids into the toilet (shaking them off into the toilet) but they were never soaked/washed. We would just get a double bagged bag of dirty clothes.
But they wouldn't leave them in soiled underwear (if they knew they were soiled.)
Ok, thanks ladies. I don't care if things are soiled but they didn't even shake any poop out. If nothing else I think it's gross to have a bag of poop (and clothes) sitting in her cubby all day. Soiled is one thing. Straight up poop is another. The director wasn't around at p/u so I will say something tomorrow.
