1. It's almost the weekend, it's almost the weekend, it's almost the weekend. I'm ready to spend the Saturday at Disneyland with the kids.
2. Our sitter is going with us, not because we need her to but because she pretty much begged us to take her, she has a pass so we happily agreed.
3. One of the girls always gets hurt at the visits with bio, yesterday ASW got to see it firsthand.
4. I love my cat, she is an armful of sweet purring goodness.
5. It's supposed to rain today, seems like a good enough day to get onions and carrots planted.
6. If the judge TPRs in 2 weeks, I hope an adoption date is set quickly, I want off this rollercoaster.
7. I feel so guilty saying #6, fost-adopt has been such a blessing for us but I want a life that doesn't involve SW visits all the time.
8. Therapy with the main MHT this morning, she doesn't make me look forward to it like the secondary does. It's not hard with her but she isn't as encouraging.
9. I just pulled an earwig out of the sleeve of the sweater I'm wearing, yuck.
1. Zucchini stole my eyeglasses two days ago & we can't find them anywhere. We have tried everything we can think of ("i ammissing my glasses, can you help look for them" to looking as a family during family tv time, explaining the cost and the effects to me, like headache and trying to feed a baby in the middle of the night when i cant see, to saying no allowance until they are found.) I dont know what to do next.
2. Pumpkin is walking around eating a whole apple. Down to the stem. So cute.
3. We made coffee filter snowflakes and hung them on the window. Carrot hung two together and said they were "falling together. They are falling in lovr."
4. I am reading "twelve tribes of hattie" and impressed. Its not too heady or too much for this tired mama. Really memorable chatacters.
5. I thought i was going to avoid the cold going around my house. I was wrong.
6. We have a plan of care mtg tonight. Biomom is supposed to be there. It always makes me nervous, and i want to capitalize on every second with her. There are so many things i want to know.
7. Half of the time pumpkin is napping in the morning, half not. Its really hard to plan my day.
8. The kids said my minestrone soup tasted like pizza. Mom win!!
9. I have up,oaded pics to shutterfly but have not ordered a single print for me since june.
10. Grandparents, friends, and biomom have lots of current pics, though.
1. I *think* I may have shaken my post-holiday blues. Ugh, I was feeling so crappy.
2. How'd I do it? Big boy room makeover
3. I am so obsessed with sprucing up Henry's room right now. I'm having a lot of fun.
4. I'm watching him in sports class right now. So cute.
5. He has been so tough lately!!! Pushing limits, being bossy, fighting everything...yowza!!
6. I am really working hard on my conflict resolution, avoiding power struggles with him (thanks CT!). I am seeing some progress. Gotta keep at it.
7. I am soooo looking forward to my doula training in 1.5 weeks - two full weekend days with like-minded moms and no toddler parenting...ahhhh
8. C is home sick with what Henry had. I'm making her sleep downstairs (there's a bed, so I'm not mean ) - I do not want to be next!!
9. When did my kid get so tall??
10. Henry was painting with water color this morning - he made the sun and grass. As he was pointing it out to me, I was melting at his cuteness. Aren't kids adorable when they're not making you insane? :-p

1. Our church friend offered us her Newport condo again for a long weekend in march. I don't even care that its the wrong season and everything will be cold/closed. I NEED to get away!
2. omg, a thought just popped into my head....what if just Andrea and I went??
3. Nah, the kids love Newport, that would be mean. although, we don't *have* to tell them where we are going...
4. At first, the maybe baby scare really freaked me out. but now I'm zen about it.
5. If by 'zen' you mean "omg, i really want another baby now!!"
6. I fibbed to DW about something. I feel bad, but had to do it to get the response I needed. (it doesn't involve babies)
7. Oscar nominations are out. I've got a bunch of movie-watching to do before Feb 24th!
8. Ordered 30 Day Shred. I'm excited...mostly for Jillian
9. Christmas gifts to bio mom got returned. I'll have to try and call her...
10. I cant believe I shared a picture of my disaster kitchen on the internet.

1. I applied for a job yesterday. Its not anything I would have thought to seek out, but the listing caught my attention. It's definitely a little outside my comfort zone, in that there would be a big learning curve (and I have this weird fear of looking inadequate thing), but I think it would be a nice change.
2. Of course, I still don't know whether to really hope for it or not. Its not my dream job, and I'm guessing the pay won't be any better. BUT I want to start opening myself up to the possibility of new and exciting things. So vibes for "what is supposed to be will be" ?
3. Here's to 2013 being a year of new and exciting things... whatever that turns out to be.
4. I loved Elise's post about her mom confessions. I'm thinking about doing my own, it seem cathartic!
5. I just made Gwen's appt for her flu shot. She got one her first 2 years, but we weren't going to bother this year (doc says definitely up to 2yr, after that, she doesn't care). Its getting damn scary though (something like 22 deaths in PA so far), so appt made.
6. I think I find the world to be a lot scarier of a place now that Gwen is here.
7. I'm going to try to do a "no spend" month from mid-January to mid-Feb (basically nothing but bills, gas, groceries, and Gwen's birthday party). Even thought I did really well with Christmas spending, we had a few things pop up that were unexpected, and my credit card bill is a bit absurd.
8. Hopefully this will help me eat better, since I won't allow myself to splurge on tasty snacks in the city or on my way to the train. Instead, fruit from the fruit bowl!
9. I'm rereading the Hobbit for the first time since I was a kid. Its really fun!
10. And ironically, I just got an email from ModCloth that a dress I was watching just came back in stock. Oh universe, you never fail to show off your sense of humor. DELETE.

I'd normally not give 2 thoughts to the "flu epidemic" reports, but now I definitely care. Not quite freaking out, but certainly putting extra precautions in place. ugh.
1. It is my intention to clear off my desk and e-mail and do the data entry I need to do today.
2. Yesterday was social day at work. I had lectures all morning for CEUs, was paid a visit by my work husband who works off site, and had a very long lunch with a co-worker, and then left a bit early to take Carter to speech therapy. It was a lot of fun, but I didn't get anything done.
3. My wife has the flu. She might be worse than any man when she gets sick. I think I am a sea-sick from her tossing/turning/groaning/moaning ALL.NIGHT.LONG.
4. Last night was MUCH better than the previous night re: homework and moods. It was actually a really nice night and the kids were passed out by 8.
5. The kids have all these random days off and a friend is covering one, we are going out of town for one, and I am trying to decide if I am going to legitimately take off one of the other days or call in that one of the kids are sick (I have a bajillion sick days.) I normally wouldn't think 2x, but it is the Friday before a holiday Monday which looks bad.
6. L has 3 weekends to finish this dissertation. She has the flu. People have already bought plane tickets for the defense. No pressure.
7. There is an ad for Applebees on my screen with a mango/avocado salsa on chicken. It looks good. I am hungry.
8. Someone posted an article about a banana bread ice cream sandwich on my FB page. Oh my. Good thing, it is in Denver.
9. Seeing my siggie of Disney is a bit like torture since I thought we were going to be able to go this winter.
10. This has been open for hours and I've made decent progress, but I need to get cracking since I need to leave on time to pick up the kiddos.
Ct-- recipe on pinterest and it was super easy. I added extra spices and topped with parm.
Luckily, zucchini came to us liking salad. It was one of five foods she claimed to like. Doesn't mean she will eat them if i buy/make them. But i try to serve one thing at each meal she wont find repulsive. If she is mad at me, she wont eat it, though.
Salad "bar" is usually good. Putting fruit and nuts on the salad is a hit. And if its a stretch, i usually make sandwiches to go along. I serve salad with a lot of meals, but i wont be the food police or fight about food. I ask that they try everything, and dont waste food (if they put it on their plate but suddenly "arent hungry" we just save it for the next meal. Carrot has eaten lots of cold, soggy cereal for dinner. Or last night, i didnt think they would like dinner much, but they were good sports, and i served blueberry peach crisp for dessert. So, i figure they got some nutrients and arent going to bed hungry

1. A and I are leaving tomorrow for our first weekend getaway. Can.not.wait.
2. The beach. It will be cold. There may be snow. Awesome.
3. A and I were texting about what she needs to pack and she said Goretex and layers, boy if that doesn't sound like a lesbian getaway. HA!
4. She makes me laugh every day. I  her for that.
5. I'm debating telling E where we are going (she will be with her dad this weekend). See CT's post above. E loves this place. But she would probably not enjoy it as much in the chill of winter when she can't go in the water. And adults need a getaway sometimes too.
6. We are staying at a place with a fireplace and a two person jetted tub.
7. Many chores and packing left to do tonight. I hope bedtime is easy. We had a 2 hour drawn out long one a few nights ago.
8. Yeah, I probably just jinxed myself.
9. E's GS leader sent around a video someone made about how kids need to do the cookie selling to parents' coworkers, not the parents. Or it could lead to the downfall of the world if they grow up and don't have those skills. I was like whaaaa seriously???
10. I hated selling GS cookies when I was a kid, so I'm pretty sure E's gonna have to do the selliing and I'll just be there for support. She's cute, you can't say no to that cute face!
2. We prepared for me to go in with him, while he went under sedation, but when I was suiting up to go in, they asked if I might be pregnant and I had to stay out. Something about the gasses in the room. Poor K was like a deer in headlights and came back half sobbing. Maybe it was good she wasn't prepared?
3. Watching him come out of anesthesia was rough. We came home and all slept for 2.5 hours. Now he is dancing around the family room, silly and cute and happy as can be.
4. Thank God.
5. We started a 28 day challenge on Monday. We are not going to eat out for 28 days. The challenge will end with my birthday and getting out of the 1st trimester so we'll have lots to celebrate! Since morning sickness kicked in, I haven't wanted to cook at all. The amount of $ we've blown on take out is embarrassing.
6. Part of the challenge was to figure our 28 really good meals (or it won't work) from what we have in house, and only buying the necessities each week, plus one or two things for a recipe. I am shocked at how much food is in our house.
7. I need to drink more water but it makes me feel queasy.
8. I am really looking forward to this weekend. Nothing but family time, meal making, and snuggling a healing little boy.
9. My OB gave me the green light to go to yoga. I was reluctant with the SCH I had with N. I wanted to be sure I had nothing like it before doing anything strenuous. I'm good to go!
10. I'm having really scary nightmares about giving birth. I think I need to talk to someone about N's birth and get past it before I lose out on this pregnancy. I feel like I opened Pandora's box by talking to my OB about it at my appointment last week. I was shaking while telling her what happened. Clearly not over it.
9. E's GS leader sent around a video someone made about how kids need to do the cookie selling to parents' coworkers, not the parents. Or it could lead to the downfall of the world if they grow up and don't have those skills. I was like whaaaa seriously???

We made zucchini write a note saying what their troop hopes to do with the money & put up a pic of her. No way is she walking around L's work.
Is your council doing this direct sale thing? Scares me.

Oh erat the note and a picture is a great idea! I was already thinking how I can't really bring E to work b/c it would require her missing school and/or me missing work! Most of my coworkers have met E, so hopefully a note will suffice.
The council does have the direct sale thing on their website. As far as I know, E's troop is only doing the sell in front of grocery stores thing which is pretty common around here. I'll be there with her for those.

1. I just got out of a 1 hour and 40 minute update meeting...thankfully most of it was spent with my boss and I speaking to an irate data user and not on the fact that I haven't finished my trip report.
2. I am so tired...I cannot wait until everyone in the household is 100 percent healthy (not just for selfish reasons).
3. The house is such a mess I am beginning to feel the same way I felt about the old house...I just don't want to go home.
4. I am so sad about the way this flu season has started...
5. I had a good lunch with C at Panda Express, but she really should have taken a nap.
6. My Peanut and Little Man have not adjusted to being back at school...they are dragging knuckle.
7. C assembled a new dresser for me while I was at my Mom's and I feel guilty because I have yet to put clothes in it.
8. I wish there were more hours of the night that I wasn't so sleepy.
9. Who knows what's for dinner tonight...I don't even want to think about it.
10. Last but not least...I love the way the Kiddos have become so expressive and have become jokesters.
1. I dropped my phone earlier and I think it's dead
2. I have another networking happy hour this afternoon. They always go better than I expect them to, but I still dread them.
3. I also dread driving home from the city at the worst possible time.
4. Yesterday I had my first pro bono appointment since moving and it went really well (I think). It made me remember how much I enjoy legal work and want to keep doing it.
5. It was also my first time working with someone through a translator, and that was very interesting and cool.
6. There are so many job postings for paralegals. Maybe being a paralegal is the new nurse.
7. We took the babies swimming this morning to get them out of the house, and it was fun. They were exhausted when we got home and have been napping for two hours.
8. We're going to the "holiday" party for our local multiples group on Saturday. We've only gone to one event (besides the consignment sales) and it was when the babies were about four minutes old, so this should be more fun.
9. My parents are thinking about going to Vegas for my dad's 60th birthday and I really hope they go! It would be so much fun and they hardly ever travel outside of a 50-mile radius.
10. My brother and I were hoping to send them to Hawaii for my dad's 60th. That obviously didn't work out, but maybe we can shoot for 65. Or 62.

1. We had our first midwife consult today. It's a two midwife practice and usually the meet-and-greet is just with one of them, but they both met with us (I have met them both and know one already, but C doesn't). The 30 minute consult lasted an hour!
2. Before that I went on a walk around a lake (about 3 miles) in the slushy rain with a colleaggue friend. It was cold but good to get back to walking.
3. This afternoon I met with one of my best doula friends (who I'm nearly positive I want to be my doula) and asked if she had availability in August. She figured out right away that it was for us and was so cute in her excitement.
4. I got all my homework and assinements done for my human bio class this week. Now I need to start reading for next week.
5. I also got some big tasks done for a couple of things I volunteer for, but I still have some major to dos for my job and business.
6. I'm thinking about applying for a PT job at a local CC to manage their women's ctr. I don't know that I'd want it instead of what I have, but it might give me some leverage to negotiate my position from contract to permanent.
7. We're leaving for our road trip a week from tomorrow!
8. We've done long West coast drives many times, but this is will be the first (only) time with me pregnant. I'm dreading how long it will take with bathroom break stops.
9. We're having a movie date night (at home) tomorrow night. I'm looking forward to it!
10. It's 7pm and I haven't had a nap yet today. I may set an alarm and close my eyes for a bit.
