If the picture attachment worked, this is a picture of Zoe, my brother's dog (on the left). I will be living with my brother in the next month or so. I have never really lived with a dog before. She is about 11 months old and she is crate trained. She seems to be a pretty good dog. Anything I should know or brace myself for? haha
She is a great dane, german shepherd, lab mix or at least that was the vet's guess. Her and her brother were strays when my brother and his friend found them.

SO CUTE!!! and Carolyn, i WISH Wyatt would run w/ me. He refuses. Like, he will slam on the brakes and sit, nearly ripping my arm off - Then he just sits there and looks at me like, "WTF are you doing lady? Where is Diva? I want Diva.. and I won't effing move until you get her." Seriously, he WILL NOT WALK without her. It's a huge PITA. and bizarre.

ROFL. That is so funny. Lucky runs good as long as you a) go where she wants to go b) head towards squirrels and rabbits c) go in a circle (headed out and back doesn't work.)
When she is done running, she sits and refuses to move. It's pretty cool when it is 2 miles from home.
Dogs are the balls. And, you just found yourself a new running buddy!
Yep. I agree. Although, I hear great Danes are pretty lazy & might not make great running buddies. Seeing as he's mixed with other active breeds, he might be a runner.
How is he with Aiden? Have they interacted much? That would be my main concern. I'd just be sure Aiden knows how to behave around a dog. Remind him not to mess with the dogs food & bones. If the dog hasn't been around kids too much, he might get scared/nervous around him. Just be extra cautious until you feel they're both okay with each other.
Aiden is around my MIL's dog a lot but she is a little older and not as active. Aiden does pretty good around animals but he hasn't been around Zoe too much. But they have met and Aiden seemed to really like her. I keep trying to talk about her a lot with Aiden so he gets use to the idea of having her around. I do plan to get them both together some more before we move though.
My moms dog used to steal my 5 year old nephews security blanket and he would cry and cry. It was so sad. But Aiden should be fine with them. Just be mindful of walking around with food and leaving it on counters. It will probably disappear, although my dogs wouldn't steal food, they only pee on the floor, so in my house the problem is watching where you step. Gross! This has nothing to do with aiden, but Amelia just met Aly's dog and cat and it is so cute how she wants to pet them and touch them. My dogs think she is super scary so she doesn't get to touch real doggies very much. She was the first baby for Max to meet and he was great with her! As long as the dog is a good tempered dog than I think they have an instinct with babies and kids to be nice. I wouldn't leave them unsupervised though until they have a food raport established.
