I've posted before about having to pump since L wouldn't nurse. I've been exclusively pumping since she was about 3 weeks I think?
Well, I would occasionally try to nurse every once and a while just to see if there was any hope. She'd always turn away and make this grossed out face. I think because she was used to the latex nipple feel (she wouldn't use a nipple shield though!).
A couple of days ago, L started rooting around my chest, which I thought was interesting so I tried to nurse and OMG, she did it! We've been nursing for 3 days now with no problems. She seems so happy and looks up at me while she eats which is just precious and it is so much better than having to pump every.three.hours.
Ahh! Just had to share my exciting news!!! ;D
Omg that's so awesome! I can't even imagine how rewarding that must be after being so dedicated to the pump! I really admire the dedication Eps have. Not me. I despised that thing.

Oh that is great! I'm also not a big fan of pumping, and tried to do it as little as possible so I've always wondered if I'd have what took to be an exclusive pumper if I had to be. I so admire the dedication of EPs. That is so wonderful she let you know she wanted to go for it and it worked!
That is awesome! And honestly, it's kind of reassuring, too. I'm worried that I'll have BF problems this time around (because I'm worried about everything), so it's nice to hear success stories like this :-)

Congrats! Props for pumping (I wasn't successful) and HUGE props for sticking with it. Its a great bonding experience and an amazing feeling to be able to do that for your child.

That is WONDERFUL! EPing was HARD! I give anyone credit who does it. It's way harder than BFing. I never had the chance to EBF Kennedy and had been pumping since day 1. With Caleb, I really got to enjoy the BFing experience, and like you said, it's so much easier and such a wonderful experience.
