have you already tried places that have bulk dried fruit? and I'm guessing places like PCC/WF? we had a food dehydrator when I was growing up (I think they got it at a fair or something, lol) and dried lots of thing. I will tell you, many of them don't taste all that great, so unfortunately, I think in order for a product to sell they probably have to add at least a little sugar. We ate dried stuff and it's obviously more healthy, but I think it would have been hard to market that stuff.
also, funny story: my grandma was fascinated with it and asked my mom what would happen if she put grapes in it... haha
ugh, this is so annoying to me. fruit is SO SWEET already!! lol. frozen fruit with added sugar also really pisses me off. like, IT'S NOT NEEDED. and if it is, people can add their own damn sugar. lol.
I think most of the dried fruit I find doesn't have extra sugar added for the most part but I'm also looking more at bulk aisles at like Central Market/Ballard Market type places.
I feel like I've seen dried fruit at Trader Joes that has no other sugar added or sulfur.
Even at WF and TJ there are still some packages of dried fruit with sugar added, it's kind of hit or miss.
I still have to read the labels on each package there.
