The AC is out in our building, so they came around and opened windows. Midtown is freaking loud, yo! Between the wind, car horns and sirens, I can barely concentrate.
I'm going to surprise my Mom with tickets to see her favorite singer (Stevie Nicks). The show is the day before I'm going to meet H in Chicago, but I'm still going to try to go with her. My dad said he'd take her if I can't make it though. I'm so excited!
I'm trying to eat healthier this week, but with H gone, I'm thinking beer and nachos for dinner. I brought a turkey sandwich for lunch though.

That is an awesome surprise for your mom!
I like the idea of beer and nachos for dinner ! Sounds so good about right now!

Oh, and my randoms:
I was able to borrow a couple of bucks to get tamales. I predict there will only be 10 left by the time I go home, though, even though I brought a lunch. I'm just not sure I can wait since they are already warm.
Even though I normally root for TX teams in any national playoff scenario, I am really hoping the Thunder can pull it out instead of the Spurs. They are the underdogs right now, plus they have my man, Kevin Durant, on the team, so I think the Spurs need to just let them win a couple more games instead of killing off their season.
I think I have a stress fracture in my foot and I'm really upset about it
Oh no! I know it SUCKS to not be able to walk normally. Get it checked out!
Thanks, yeah I actually went to the doc yesterday and he thinks that's what it is. I went for an X-ray this morning, so just waiting on the results. Boo hiss.

Don't be a tease, Mac! You have to tell us now.
Randoms: Both D and I are so frustrated with things in our lives, we're talking about moving. It's an opportune time. Several of our friends are either pg or just had kids and are settling into their new lives, one of the bands we're really good friends with just broke up and everyone involved is currently in flux, and D has a possible opportunity to transfer with his job. With everyone's lives so up in the air/settling, it's almost like we could slip out the back without disappointing anyone or getting guilted into staying. It's still just an idea, though.
Louie - I know it's just an idea, but really consider it! We ended up in NYC because of H's job, and it was a great decision for us. Where might D be able to transfer?

**Crossing fingers SLou says Houston**
Not sure if D's job has a branch here, but I know from other posts that SL's job does!

Dallas, actually. They want to open a second branch there. D's already head dispatcher, so all he would have to do is ask and his boss would happily send him. If we wait for the third branch to open, it could be Denver or DC. Apparently, D's boss has a thing for the letter D.
And Dallas is only an hour-75 minute flight from ABQ.
Actually, we would be headed that way every once in awhile anyway. D's sister lives in Las Cruces, so if we moved to Dallas, we'd make a point to see her more often. Maybe we could stop on the way.
Edit: I just looked at a map. Maybe you could meet us there for drinks. LOL

I smell a G2G that involves helping SL move into a new home and then acquainting her with her new Texas digs (we would have to locate the nearest BBQ joints, kolache bakery, and pub, of course). I don't mind helping with unpacking some boxes if there was good company like some of you ladies involved in the process!

As much as I hate Cruces, I'll make the drive for a GTG!!
