I'm considering this Restoration Hardware chair for our living room (extra seating--this would not be used on a daily basis). I like that is is a wing back but it has the petite proportions I need. It is supposed to be a dining room chair.

Honestly, it doesn't look comfortable at all. But then, I find that RH's furniture (in general) is weirdly proportioned and uncomfortable. Or maybe I'M weirdly proportioned. Either way, I find their furniture uncomfortable.

ITA!
DH and I spent some time sitting on their furniture and were shocked at how uncomfortable we both found all of it. Usually if he thinks it is comfortable I don't, and vice versa.....agreeing on how uncomfortable it was was a first for us.
The new-ish wing chair at Ikea is very comfortable. We both loved it, and we saw/heard several other couples agree that it was comfortable while we were within earshot. It was like everyone was Goldilocks and that was the only chair there that was 'just right' for everyone. weird.

Eh, don't get me wrong, I love a high wingback. I'm just assuming it's uncomfortable because it's from RH and I've never sat on something from there that WAS comfortable. But there's a first time for everything.
OP, if you like it, go sit on it in an RH store - that's the only way to know for sure.

Can I just take this opportunity to say that I appreciate the Jenny Steffens blog and the Old Town Home Blog so much because of what they do differently from YHL:
*They are willing to spend some more money on quality pieces *They edit themselves *They stay away from neon colors *They embrace traditional design elements
I am so happy to have found blogs that aren't the normal YHL schtick in terms of design.
