So how many people are actually over here?

I really missed WC so I came back only to find a new board...but now it seems like both boards are dead. I realize a lot of people created a new private board too. But...I still want to talk about food and entertaining with people!

How can we get this board up and running?

And I realize that I am the "new girl" so I apologize if I am stepping on anyone's toes!

I was never on the WC board, and am therefore not one of the "cool kids" invited to their separate board. I used to go on the entertaining board on TN, which I liked but it was always a little slow. Except during the Thanksgiving/Christmas holiday season.

Not sure how to get it up & running. Maybe a poll or two?

I don't think there are many people here at all. I know some people from the private board cross post here, but not many. Since WC never really promoted moving here when on TN, I don't know if any lurkers over there will think to come over here and see that there is a similar board.

I thought BUs would help, but it doesn't seem to be working yet.

We can do polls or ask a question of the day about food/entertaining.

I do like the BUs because I like seeing what other people are cooking to give me ideas!

Maybe we can do a post each day where we link to our favorite find on Pinterest that day. I am always pinning food and entertaining ideas! Of course, I am assuming that most people use Pinterest in order for that to work. And/or each week we can post something we tried on Pinterest and really liked...that will give those without a blog a chance to share something that they've made. I'm just throwing out some random ideas!

Yeah, there doesn't seem to be much going on. I don't have a blog or do a lot of cooking in the summer due to strange work hours. I keep checking everyday and try to participate when I can, though.

There are still a lot of "What's for dinner?" posts on other boards, so people are interested in talking about food and cooking. It's just gettimg them to do it over here!

I switched over here because my local did (TN local is completely dead now). Has anyone posted this site over on TN? Maybe we should post it occasionally to let people know!

That's how I found it...cookaholic wife posted a link for me! (but I had asked where everyone went...) But that's a good idea to post about it. We need to get the lurkers here!

Maybe it will just take a while to get going. How long has this board been around, anyway? I used to post on TN too (as bensbaby116 quite a while ago!), but it sounds like things are a mess over there. I do like that this has a mobile version!
