I have randomly decided not to use mine unless it's a special occasion like we're going out to dinner or something. If I'm just sitting home doing nothing I won't use them. But am I torturing myself? Are you SUPPOSED to use them?
I apologize that I'm obsessing over WW lately. Pre-pregnancy, I had really unhealthy dieting patterns and when I was trying to lose weight I basically just barely ate and worked out a zillion hours per week. This whole losing weight in a normal way thing has really thrown me for a loop.
Not doing WW right now (MFP instead) but the million and two times I have done it, I always ate my extra weeklies. I think you lose faster if you don't eat them but you will still lose if you do.
I'm not afraid to use them but I don't just divide them into the days... I try to use them for miscalculations, guessing, or going out to for dinner or social situations. I found if I just ate 7 extra points a day I was screwed when we went out or something I didn't plan for came up.

But they do give you 49 whole flex points nowadays. 4 for a glass (or 8 for 2 glasses!) surely won't hurt I'm trying to be extra good because next week I have that anniversary dinner andddd on monday we are going out for sushi with friends. Sushi isn't the most unhealthy choice but I'm sure I'll go over.

Watch out for spicy tuna with crunch (my go-to sushi). It has a startling amount of calories/points
I generally eat mine. I plan to save them for special occasions, but if nothing is going on that week I use them on a pretty ad-hoc basis. Sometimes I need / want them other times I don't touch them. If I'm hungry I will definitely use them, even if it means using some that should be reserved for an occasion. The plan is intended to work even when you use them. You can tweak it how you like... If you're not losing as quickly as you like, you might try to avoid them for a bit or if you've been avoiding them and still not losing you might try having some to wake up your metabolism.
I don't normally use them except for special occasions. When I used to go to meetings the leader said once that the reason they're there is for special occasions like a dinner or drinks out once a week, or a glass of wine every night! they are there so that you will be able to realistically stay on the plan for the long term. Because everyone needs a treat now and then, and if you couldn't have one you might end up just giving up.
I try to just eat my daily points every day and use the weeklies for the things I forget to enter (there is always something) or any slight overages I might have miscalculated. Usually there is one day where I go over daily points because of either a glass of wine or a dinner out or a larger dessert. I never go over the weekly points and I never eat the exercise points and I have been steadily losing for 4 months now...
