Good news: Some of you will recall me talking about this before.
I just put Mila to bed. In her crib. With NO sleep suit!!!!! She's sleeping right now! Will see how long it lasts.
Bad news: I made it downstairs to 2 very quiet, very suspicious looking pugs. Stepped in the living room... It smells like piss.
I discover that they have found and eaten a half a sleeve of Ritz crackers. Then, in her engorged glee, cheddar pissed on my new throw blanket... And subsequently on the couch.
I know it was her bc as I scrubbed out the couch, she laid down flat on the floor with her eyes averted. Guilty.
Ugh. This is so nasty. Also I hope my baby stays asleep.
Sorry about the dogs! It is so hard to stay mad at them when they act so sad and guilty. That's exciting about the sleep suit though! I hope she stays asleep all night!
Trudy what is your dog doing?? I'm seriously wondering if Cheddar is craving attention.
The sleeve of Ritz.... Well that was my fault. If there's food down, she'll eat it.
Oh my gosh, he's sooo craving attention. Out of nowhere he is peeing on the floor, stealing V's toys and making my life miserable in general. It's sad but I now lock the two dogs up in their own room all day (even though the other dog is behaving). It's not cruel or anything since they have a whole (tiny) room to themselves but I feel bad keeping them away from me.
He also cries at night now so much. It's so annoying!

I hope Mila makes it through the night! She can do it! I'm sorry but I cracked up at them eating all the crackers, that is a total Taco move. He has been acting needier lately as well. He peed through the house one time and felt so guilty he wouldn't come out of his crate the rest of the night. I even tried to coax him out with hot dogs, nope. Lately he has just been having more anxiety than usual.
OMG I die when a pug does that ears down eyes all sad look. My family is a PUG family.
I like to share this with all fellow pug lovers....warning it is sad so skip if you are sensitive.
My brother had the first pug in our family. She was our everything. One day he left for class and left his bottom dresser drawer ajar. His pug got into it and ate an entire roll of pennies. The vet tried to get them out naturally but they didn't pass so she went through surgery. My brother went to see her that afternoon and again the next morning. She was up and playing with him and everything. Later in the afternoon, the vet called and she passed away presumably from a blood clot.
Apparently, pugs have an affinity for metal things. Once I found this out I started noticing it more. I've seen a pug in a [pet store window relentlessly licking a metal window frame. Keep pennies and metal stuff away from the pug babies.
Omg Lola. That's heartbreaking. I will watch them always around metal!!!
I am a worrier so of course I'm worried about all the crackers. I keep trying to tell myself shell be fine... I'm sure Macaroni helped her eat them, so they can't have each had THAT many.
My pugs are such trouble makers, moreso now with the baby since we get preoccupied. Boopers ate my $$$ glasses. She also steals toys from the baby. We put up baby gates when she was only 2 months old because the pugs were sneaking off to pee. But i love them.
Check out the bah humpug blog, she does hilarious pug illustrations
I've got two, Boopers (Betty) is 5 and Chubbs (Toby) is 4. Both rescues. We got Toby as a tiny puppy and were able to train (most of) the bad pug behavior out of him but Boop was 2 when we got her and training is a joke with her. She does what she likes. They don't like electronics as they divert our attention away from them and have destroyed: 2 laptop power cords, 2 printers, and a dvd player.
They are like typical brother and sister, they'll play together and then fight. They very very very rarely snuggle one another but demand snuggles from us constantly. They are good with the baby for the most part but still learning to be gentle and to not lick her face. She loves them and watches them all the time and will stroke their fur if they come close.
