K, how'd she end up doing? Did she make it through the night without the suit?
Ruby - she slept awesome from 8-12. 12 is her normal nurse time. She woke up and I think was confused that she could move freely. We brought her in and nursed as usual. When DH put her back, she thought it was playtime. She was waving at DH and talking and rolling around. He left the room and she just started crying
We ended up putting her back in the suit close to 1 and she slept the rest of the night.
I guess not TOO bad for the first night? But not overly successful either. We will stick with putting her down without the suit and hoping she gets more used to it. Well go to CIO eventually if we have to, I guess, but would really rather not :-(
That's a great start! Hopefully it keeps getting better.
Thanks ruby I really hope so too. We figured she was just super confused on why she could easily roll around. I read somewhere about mutilating the suit to get them used to moving limbs - cutting one arm or leg off at a time. Obv wed rather avoid that and save the suit for a possible future baby... But if we have to, we have to.
Here she is. Abby will be 8 in April. Another April baby! :-)
I love Abby!!! Beautiful!! How is she with the girls? They seemed like they'd be wonderful dogs with kids.
She is great with the girls. She lets D pull on her. H's antics spook her. She was a wild wild puppy! We were the only pair to straight up fail obedience class. She was almost 4 when H was born and had started settling down at that time. A baby during her puppy hey day would have been nutso.
Here's mine!!!! Her name is Tahoe and she turned 10 in November.
ETA: At one time my family had 3 pugs; a fawn, a black and an apricot. The fawn and black had 6 puppies and we kept 2 of them. It was insane!
Carawestt!!! I love Tahoe! She's beautiful and she looks so young! She has aged well - I'm impressed!
And I can totally understand why you had so many - pugs are collectible!
She has aged really well, just a little grey on her face. She's still such a puppy and still loves to play. Her back legs are starting to get weak though she has trouble getting up steps and onto the bed/couch.
