I am so disturbed by this documentary. Not that I didn't think there were people like that out there, but just WOW. I could not stop thinking "WTF". It's the ultimate proof that you cannot buy class.
Definitely a good movie. They really seemed to get them uncensored.
I found the animal poop all over the house really troubling and also the fact that they don't seem to have too much regard for the welfare of their pets.
The nanny having to dress up as Rudolph for the Christmas party?
It's also weird how much McDonalds they ate. In one scene she's pressuring her daughter to work harder on working out and in the next she's bringing home fast food.
I mean, all of the "whoa is me, I'm a mere millionaire now and I used to a billionaire" aside, they have a very interesting take on life.
I haven't looked up what ended up happening yet, but in the movie they don't finish it. They put it on the market for $75M unfinished. The bank started foreclosure proceedings towards the end and the guy gives them $1M to postpone the auction. Based on what I saw though, it would have been crazy gaudy. In their current house they have those paintings that are made to look like an old portrait (like a king or queen with their children) but with their own faces painted on it. It was pretty terrible.
