Anyone have solar window film installed?

Let me first say, I am not a fan of of the look of solar window film but considering how much our hardwood floor and sofas have faded in the past 2 years, I think it may be a necessary evil. I like light and to see the outside so dark curtains are an even worse solution in my opinion.

So, if you have had it installed, how pricey was it? We we get two or maybe 4 good sized windows and the sliding glass door. Any recommendations on products (Llumar, 3M...)?
