I'm usually too busy to read what I really want to read during the school year because I'm teaching/reading three different novels at any given time. I miss reading right before bed, so I want to start up again.

I'm currently reading The 4th book in the Game Of Thrones (Song of Ice and Fire) series. I don't know if that is everyone's cup of tea though. I loved Ready Player One and Gone Girl. The Outlander series is great! The Hunger Games series, Delerium series, and Divergent series.
Those are all I can think of off the top of my head.
I'm reading A Memory of Light, the 14th and final book in the Wheel of Time series. Don't start that series unless you a) like fantasy books, and b) really like reading, as their each near 1000 pages.

Thanks for all of the recommendations! I really like to read cheesy feel-good books that make you cry...does that make sense? I love Mitch Albom. I also like something more intense like Room, and Sarah's Key. I'm not a fan of Jodi Picoult, Nicholas Sparks, or anything too romantic.
Has anyone read Divergent? Isn't that part of a series?

Divergent is great! It's the first book of a series. The second book is Insurgent, and the thirs book comes out later this year. The books are good and easy to read. If you liked Hunger Games or similar books, you'll like it I think.

That's what I've heard. I'm definitely putting the series on my "must read" list!

Divergent and Insurgent were both fabulous! I'd highly recommend them.
I also recently read The Book Thief, which I thought was great. I second the recommendation for 11/22/63. It was a truly amazing read. I just finished Room and now I'm reading The Mill River Recluse which is okay so far, but not knocking my socks off.
Next I might read January First which is about a little girl who has schizophrenia. It's supposed to be really good.
I liked Divergent and Insurgent. Also Article 5 and The Prodigy. Those are all teen dysptopian-ish, if you're into that.
I just brought home Janie Face to Face which is the conclusion to the Face on the Milk Carton series. Also teen. I need to read grown up books every now and then but I just don't feel like it lately.
