Hi ladies,
I usually lurk on this board but was wondering if you could help.
We have a living room wall that is about 13' across. On the wall is a low buffet that is 7' across (it is centered and there are 3' on each side). I want to do a photo wall on this wall. Do I need to keep the frames within the boundaries of the buffet or should I expand the boundaries and make the frames go beyond those 7'?
A general rule of thumb is that anything on the wall over a piece of furniture should be about 2/3 the width of the furniture piece. So I'd say no to going the whole width of the wall. Are you going to have extra chairs sitting next to the buffet? That can be taken into account for the space.
I hadn't thought to do that but definitely could...
