Cook Time 7-8 hours Temp Low

Used 6-quart slow cooker Ingredients
4 to 6 Chicken Breasts 1/4 Cup Butter 1/2 Package Dry Italian salad dressing mix 1 Can Cream of mushroom soup 1/2 Cup Dry white wine (I used a whole cup and some people use chicken broth) 4 Ounces Cream cheese with onions and chives 1 Box penne pasta Chives, for garnish
Directions
Step One
Put all ingredients in the slow cooker except pasta Step Two
Cook on low for 7-8 hours Step Three
When the chicken mixture is done, prepare penne pasta according to package directions; drain Step Four
Mix pasta with chicken. Serve in a large bowl with chives sprinkled on top
HAHA! I imagine you could modify the recipe for sure. I used regular pasta since that is all we had (DH went shopping) and usually use whole wheat, I used the Healthy Request Cream of Mushroom which is low fat and lower sodium. I imagine subbing the low sodium broth for the wine would cut calories too.
PC - When I made something similar, I omitted butter, used the fat free soup and didn't use cream cheese or pasta. So, it was more of just the chicken in the italian seasoning and creamy soup. It was still really good though if you like creamy dishes. You should try it!

You may be able to sub some greek yogurt for something in there. But then I wouldn't do it in the crockpot.
You could also, as mentioned by y'all, make your own cream soup and your own italian dressing seasoning mix. That might cut out a lot of the salt. I've made this, and similar things, and you could probably also use half the butter.
But, it's really good. Espeically if you use the zesty italian dressing mix. Which, I can't find anymore.

I make one similar with broth, ranch mix, and mushrooms. We eat it over rice usually. All my kids will eat it and that's something! I'm going to try your recipe.
This sounds very good. How much would you say it makes?
You can adjust the chicken breasts for your family's size. I just did 3 large breasts where it calls for more and that was plenty for all of us and some leftovers for DH.
