Good lord 'merica, way for making me look bad with the in laws!
Just got a nastygram from Enterprise saying a video-toll from Toronto had not been paid and they were going to send FIL's name to a collection agency. All this after they had charged the $26 to FIL's card.
Point of the story? Do yourselves a favor and save yourselves a headache: don't let your inlaws (or yourselves!) rent from Enterprise, National, Alamo, or WeCar. Please.

I would call them and tell them that credit card statement shows that it has been charged the $26. It could just be that the message hasn't made it through the system or something.
Sometimes the "collection agency threats" just get sent out too soon. We got one once for XH's knee surgery when the surgeon's office was still negotiating with the insurance company. I was all but when I called and asked about it, they apologized and said that I shouldn't worry about it.
