while I appreciated Jodie Foster's sentiments, I thought the speech was rambling. When it was over, I looked and Leanne and said, "huh?" Her look wasn't doing it for me and I can't get past that she and Mel Gibson are friends.
I thought Tina Fey/Amy Poehler were awesome. Funniest hosts in years. I think they should do it every year.
Loved Anne Hathaway.
Lena Dunham needed to stop trying to wear heels. Even I can walk in heels better than that, and that is saying something. With a dress that long, she could have gotten away with flats.
As a friend posted. "She made some comment about an "announcement" and then the announcement was that she was single and wanted privacy and that she came out to her family and friends years ago but she isn't coming out because she doesn't need to come out because she is a celebrity and deserves privacy and she has a bff/co-parent named so-and-so (woman's name) that she was thanking (but I guess she's single) and she has some sons she loves very much too but she's not coming out because she's out AND IT WAS JUST SO RAMBLY."
yeah, it was kind of a trainwreck. but, hey, I've never come out to 1,000s of people on a world-wide stage in the middle of a terrible break-up so who am i to judge?
I agree - you could tell she was nervous and flustered. And that makes sense. I feel for her, but she should have brought a damn notecard or something.
I thought that she and Cindy broke up a while ago, and that she was with someone else since. Though, I have to admit I don't really care or follow her. She's not my fave celesbian
