The most recent round of coupons is for the Go & Grow formula. Google tells me they are virtually the same except for the calcium, vitamin E and sodium (+5mg) content.

Anyone know if switching to the next formula is a good option instead of WCM for after a year?
I did toddler formula for DS for a couple of months. He self weaned at 13 months (when I got pregnant with my first m/c), and he had trouble digesting WCM. He used the formula for a couple of months, and then I slowly mixed the formula and WCM until it was all WCM. At that point, he was able to drink the WCM and was fine with it, so I stopped the toddler formula.
I switched because I found the similac go and grow on sale for 10.96 a can instead of 22.96. My uncle bought 14 of them for Leia for Christmas. When we run out I will probably go back to Wal-Marts soy though.
I think there is no reason to switch just a marketing gimick. But, if they cost the same or you have coupons I see no reason NOT to get it.
yeah, the toddler stuff is cheaper (by a good amount) and i'm not really seeing a reason not to use it to save money until she's a year old when we switch to WCM.
it says it's for babies 9+ months. she's just about 10m, so we're good there.
i do also agree that after 1y, toddler formula is a gimmic. so maybe they make this and make it cheaper so people aren't as opposed to buying it after 1y?

Our pediatrician kept us on toddler formula until 18 months because he was so tiny, also had MSPI issues
WAs this over the counter? I didn't know they made hypoallergenic toddler formula.
It was over the counter, as you can order it online but with a prescription it was just a copay for a month's supply. We used vanilla vital jr which has been renamed. The pedi GI also recommended Peptamin jr as an alternative. These would be equivalent to alimentium/nutramigen, which he transitioned to at 11 months from neocate.
