Claire is going through a clingy phase. Cries TERRIBLY the instant I put her down. Which is fine, but dad works sometimes. And sometimes I have to feed/change/hold Etta. I just got them fed solids, and was doing the usual solo nighttime routine of getting them changed and settled in for their last bottle before bed. I got Claire all changed and laid her in her crib while I grabbed Etta from her high chair and changed her. In the span of like 2 minutes, Claire was crying so hard I thought she'd vomit. AHHH. I had to finish changing Etta, then got her in a bouncer with a bottle so I could hold Claire and feed her hers (she can't hold it up yet), and it was terrible. She's sooooo tired, so that didn't help, and she fell asleep the second she finished her bottle. I'm not sure I'll survive a clingy phase when I have two infants to deal with!
On the happy side: I finally got the puree texture right and Claire ate a whole tupperwear thing of carrots and tomatoes. Finally! My homemade food doesn't get barfed immediately! I think the immersion blender makes a better texture than the Ninja blender.
You're a goddess, how twin mamas keep it together is beyond me. I second wearing her as much as possible. It may be a PIA, but at least you'll be able to get crap done. And at least Etta isn't going through the same thing. Now that would be a nightmare. Good luck!!
You deserve a medal Ernie. It will pass though, and soon they won't want to play with you at all. They will have their own secret twinsies club My twin sisters were that way.
