I would love a two hour late start. I would rather have that than a snow day. A two hour late start means we don't have to make a day up. Whereas, a snow day means a make-up day.
We have, like, a half an inch of snow on the ground and that means that I can go into work two hours late tomorrow! 2 hour delay for the university!
This is amazing.
Awesome!
I had the same experience when I went to college. Where I grew up, you were lucky to get a snow day after 12" fell. In college, they would shut things down ater 2" or so.

Dude, so you know where I went for grad school. I can remember walking around campus in snow so deep that it was coming in the tops of my boots and stuff wasn't canceled.

I remember that, too. In fact, when I was a kid, we had school canceled more often for cold than we did for snow (I guess it's hard to start the buses when it's 35 below).
I do not regret moving here. Not even a little. The last two days have been probably the coldest of the year, with daytime highs below 30F. Yeah. I love this place.
That's awesome! And lol that they don't have snow plows - you don't even need them for 1/2"!
I also said that they don't have salt or sand trucks, either.
The roads were still a little warm when the snow started to fall, and because the temperature drops so rapidly after the sun goes down it is a complete icy mess out there. I actually bit it on the sidewalk walking home from the gym last night at 7pm. The roads really need to be sanded or salted to be safe.
