talk to the producer to find out about transportation - they might be able to arrange for carseats. If not, I'd bring them (the lightest ones you have.) If you feel comfortable, I'd bring a backless booster for Sprout to avoid carrying 1.more.thing.
No safety stuff - just lots of snacks and entertainment.
Personally I don't take car seats if we're going to be traveling in taxis. For me, the time it takes to get in and out of the taxi with installing car seats would be insane.
But if you'll be renting a car to do any other traveling while there then I would just check the lightest car seats you have and use those.
yeah, that's the problem...we don't have any light car seats. If we decided to bring them, I'd probably pick up 2 Cosco Sceneras and a booster for Ramon. kind of a PIA I'd like to avoid...though having a car seat on the plane for Daisy might be a good thing so i'm not chasing her up and down the aisle.
if you need seats, I'd get what you suggested - but know that RB will probably grow out of the scenera in the not to distant future (they are pretty narrow.) But not a big investment.
there are pros/cons to carseats on planes - the pros - they are strapped down and can't get away. the con - they are at a perfect distance/height to kick the seat in front of them the whole f'ing flight.
I wish I was a bit closer - I could drop my CARES harness with you!
They don't need anything for the plane, it's true.
I think cheap carseats would be a good option, I would imagine that they are having a car pick you up? I'd def try to ask the producer if they'll provide them. Lots of car rental companies have carseats (not always the best ones), and I would think a fancy car service, hired by a fancy talk show, might have some too??

I wouldn't get car seats, only because the producers have to have some, so does the car company. That seems like a big expense for a short trip... I'd use what they had on hand and skip it for the plane.
