We are having a brokers tour tomorrow in the morning. We won't be here, but it's for like 3 hours so I thought I would make some food to leave out. Muffins and other small stuff? Is that weird? I should probably just ask our agent what he thinks.
I've heard not to. If anything, leave packaged food or snacks (waterbottles and granola bars maybe). I've heard that people don't trust or want homebaked goods!
I still live in a god forsaken apartment so I'm not there, but I think that would be really nice of you, especially if it's in the morning. But I would definitely talk to your broker about it because it's possible people do that often and they go untouched, in which case, screw it.

Jamie & bebe, that's exactly what I was thinking. I don't want to make a bunch of delicious stuff to have it go to waste. I'll have to call him today and see what he thinks. I want them to like our house dammit!

I worked for a realtor for a long time. It's fairly common practice to bake cookies for open houses, less so for other types of showings. It's buyers, not brokers, you really want to impress.

This is off topic, but our neighborhood is so crappy, open houses are not advised. Because neighborhood people come and scope out your house for the stuff they can steal when they break in.
