So today was Alexis' 9 month appointment. Her normal nurse that always works with our Pedi was out today. So we had a new nurse. She weighed Alexis and she was 25lbs 15oz and 30'' inches long. Usually that is all the nurse does and we go over everything with the Pedi. Well she decided she would look up DD on the chart and proceed to say "Holy cow she is the size of a 18 month old. What have you been feeding her". I said "Excuse me who the hell do you think you are" and then DH stopped me. She immediately left the room. I said something to the Pedi and the front desk. The pedi told us not to stress about the weight/height she will slow down when she becomes more active. I am just so sick of the comments. It is hard not to take it personally when everyone feels they have the right to say something. :@

First off deep breaths. Sorry she made you feel that way. You are doing great. I like what hoody said in another thread, just sometimes we have to accept most people are douchtastic. Go by your pedi.
1. Chubby babies are the best babies! 2. I hope she got chewed out for being a bitch 3.My nephew was off the charts huge before he got really mobile. He ate extremely healthy--he was just a big boy. (My other nephew lives on happy meals and cookies and he is a stick-kids are different). She'll even out eventually, and until then, she is absolutely perfect just how she is!!

That's an inappropriate comment! I'd be pissed too. I had the opposite problem when one of the nurses wouldn't believe V was 4 months old because she was so tiny...I told her off!
M is on the smaller side and I'd be mad if the nurse implied I didn't feed her enough. I agree, there are ranges in size. How does a pedi nurse NOT know that? I'm mad for you. Let's egg her car lol. But Regina is right, people are douchetastic and we have to accept that....but we can still complain and let their boss know.

I appreciate my pediatrician so much. Other people hassle me about my big baby, but never him or his staff. They actually congratulate me on every visit. I'm sorry that nurse was acting like a bitch all up in your 9 month checkup.
