I used them for the plate wall in our dining room. I would say they are about 90% effective/safe. I have had one plate fall from that failing but overall I am really happy with them. I hate the metal spring ones as well. I weigh each of my plates before I decide what size to put on it, and when in doubt I go with a bigger one.

OMG hey!  I haven't seen you around in forever!  I didn't realize you still visited this board.

I have three plates in my kitchen now that have been hanging for over 2 years now. i've had zero problems with them. i bought them on amazon bc i was unable to find them in stores around here.

Do you know if they're easily removable, or do they adhere to the plates forever? I have plates I'd like to hang but if I ever change my mind I would hate for them to cause any damage to the plate.

the adhesive comes off when you wet it.

It was very easy to remove, but obviously it becomes useless after that.
