I'm going to a family reunion this weekend and we're on the list for a main course. I need a crockpot recipe because I won't have any where to cook or warm up once I get there. I was thinking of a lasagna but I've never done one in the crockpot. Any tips? Or a recipe specifically for the crockpot?

I think Italian Sausage would be easiest. Buy the refrigerated sausages, a jar of sauce and pre-cut and bag green peppers before you leave. Then just dump everything in and let it cook 4-6 hours on high. You could bring buns if you think people would like to make sandwiches with it.

I'm always a big fan of pulled meat sandwiches. A couple I really like are:
Pulled pork - I just pour root beer over a pork shoulder until it's mostly covered, then cook on low for 8-10 hours. After it's done I shred the meat and drain out most of the juices and add in bbq sauce...or just let people put their own bbq sauce on their sandwich.
Buffalo chicken - I put in 4 chicken breasts, add in a packet of ranch seasoning and a bottle of wing sauce and cook on low for 6 hours or so. You can easily double or triple if needed! Then I shred once done.
My first thought was mac and cheese, but I don't really have a recipe. I like the pulled meat sandwich idea or sloppy joes.
I know this sounds gross, but it's really easy and shows up at my family's preThanksgiving every year. It's always one of the first things to go. It may be too heavy for summer too, but I'll still share.
1 can of Busch’s Original Bake Beans – do not drain these 2 cans cut green beans – drained 2 cans Italian green beans – drained 2 cans wax beans – drained 1 can butter beans – drained 1 can black beans – drained 1 can navy beans – drained ( I couldn't find navy beans, so I used Great Northern beans. 1 package of Bob Evans Zesty sausage(red pack) 1 package of Kielbasa sausage
Brown Bob’s sausage, and cut Kielbasa into slices.
Dump baked beans in crock-pot and add all other drained beans. Add cooked sausage and sausage slices. Stir gently since beans will get mushy if you over stir. Add brown sugar, I added about 3/4 cup to start and then about half way through cook time I added another quarter to half cup to taste and gently stirred it.
The recipe does not really give a cook time, but the first time I did it I cooked it on low for about 5 hours. The second time I did 2 hours on high and then about 2 hours on low. I don’t think it really matters, you just need to get it all hot and get the flavors mixed.

Mini meatballs and jarred sauce? You could always brown the meatballs in the oven or on the stove first so they're a little firmer and can hold up to more time in the sauce/crock pot.
