Anyone still have messed up formatting?

i got a fb msg from a member...she uses iphone:

So I can't get in to the boards now? The app now won't log in and says its locked or not working and to contact an admin. I tried going through browser on my phone and it only shows me the beta board!

i told her to reinstall the app, but that doesn't fix the beta board issue. she used the app just fine earlier today.

EDIT: disregard the browser issue. i think she went to freemessageboards.com, it worked after i sent her the link. but the app issue. she will reinstall shortly.

Can I interrupt this formatting post with name question?

I did the global account creation (with the blue and orange login boxes) a few days ago. I thought I set it up for rubytue to be my name, but now it says I have to create a name for this forum. Ok. fine. I picked rubytue (thinking maybe I stopped a step short). But that name is take (by ME!)

I know I did the global account part right, b/c the account existed and let me log in. And I was posting from the app earlier today. Now I'm on the computer.

How do I get my name back?!

I just spent 15 minutes telling it my password, proving I was human, round and round I went and finally it sent me a new activation code. I already did all this when we were told to a few days ago. Could have something with the fact that I changed from wildfloweragain to wildflower when I switched from old to new? I got on fine when it was tested before.

Oh hey.  I figured it out.  Somehow.  I went around in circles a few times, eventually got to a page where I could select "Ruby2" or "Guest" and then there was a link to "link this to another account" (or something).  The next login screen looked the same (orange and blue boxes), but this time I had to put rubytue in for the usename, NOT [e-mail] (which is how you login to the global account).

Ginger, if things are working as they should, the page number thing at the top will scroll down the page with you as you read. It should always be visible.

Any word on if they plan to fix the issue that is causing a number of us to be blocked because of work filters? That is going to seriously hurt overall site traffic, and not just on our site.

Just click on the bubble and it will go away. They fixed that bug after we converted.

The font is now microscopic.  It was fine until I just switched boards.

What I do know is that the board looks like crap on my phone and tablet, and the app was running slow as hell.  Not impressed thus far.

I have an IPhone 3GS. I am logged in, but there is no option to reply anywhere. If the app is not compatable with older phones, I wish this had been told to me before I purchased it today.

It is compatible with the 3GS (or at least always has been before - today everything is all messed up). Can you delete the forum and add it again by pressing the "Forums" tab, then "+" and type "pandce" in the box. Then login again and see if you're still having issues. For some reason it doesn't work well if you add the board through the directory.

If that doesn't work, the app support board is at support.proboards.com/board/12/proboards-mobile-app-support -- they will be able to troubleshoot any issues, but probably not until tomorrow.

The problem with this though is that if I'm posting from my phone, the page number bar keeps popping up over the text of the post and I can't read anything. I'd rather just have the darn numbers at the bottom of the page.

To be honest, I don't think they've yet done any mobile app updates to make things work better with v5. I am on a droid 3g, using the app (not mobile browser), and I don't see the black bar that others are talking about. The only issue I've noted is that when I quote someone, it says who I'm quoting but leaves out the text being quoted. I've already reported that bug and it's on their list to fix.

I would hope to see updates for mobile users soon though, now that so many other forums are converting. I just feel like they've been focusing on the pc based users. The best way to make your voices heard on the issue may be to go start a thread on the support board in the mobile app area.
