I just noticed today that the "insert user link" which I presume is the tagging function button is not working with bringing up user names. I type in any user name, I get "no results", including my own, which I'm fairly sure I know the spelling and capitalization of.
ETA: maybe it was just a momentary glitch. It seems to be working again. Never mind.
This is more a want than a need, but when I view the website from my iphone, it would be awesome to show the original poster's name. Right now, I see the name of the thread, and the most recent poster, but I have to click on it to see who started the thread.
I'm going to skip 7 pages of replies and just ask my question so sorry if it's been answered. I have Internet Explorer 8 and will likely have this as my main GBCNing browser until the next decade. I can't see polls or smileys. Any help for me?
I'm having serious lagging issues. It's taking so much longer for everything to load now. From the time I click "reply" it takes about 35-40 seconds for the page to load where I can scroll down to see what I posted.
Also, the text gets cut off on the right hand side when I'm looking at the list of topics.
Under the column titled "Last Post" I can only see it as "Last P" because the "ost" is cut off along with the information shown underneath that.
I use a browser for my phone (not the app, I don't have that) but the formatting (layout) is so difficult to read, I've stopped using it.
Definitely still slow for me. Other websites are loading just fine (including those that sometimes take FOREVER like HuffPo), so I think its a PB issue.
It takes a good 30seconds to a minute for a page to load- and during that time my computer is "not responding"...so if, while the page is loading, my boss comes into my office I cannot quickly click out of ProBoards and into something else. Please fix this!!!
Just a little trick...the little flag looking thing on your keyboard, I don't know what the formal name for the button is...kind of embarassing, I know...in between Ctrl and Alt if you hold that down and hit your D at the same time, it immediately closes all open programs on your desktop and goes to your desktop. Excellent for things you don't want others to see.
Im on an ipad and when I am in the actual board, not the main page with the list of boards, I can't see the full screen. So I can't see the colum the shows who made the last reply. Any way to fix that?

Yes, there are several with miscellaneous issues that we haven't found the root cause for, unfortunately. We'll see what the change in css hosting does, and go from there, I suppose.
What I really should be having some of them do is go post their own individual bugs on support, as they will get more knowledgeable answers from staff.
I've also noticed, as have you, that mobile and safari users seem to have more problems. I do hope they get some of that updated soon. Apple seems to be worse than Android, too.

The apple app is a hot mess. It has a new error message that just showed up today, too - something about not being able to post. I really hope e update for that goes through soon.

just wanted to say thank you for addressing all of our issues, while it can be frustrating, its a help to know that its being addressed and thought about!
This is the only thread that doesn't have messed up formatting today. It's all gone to crap - just text. Everything was fine for me until this morning, and deleting cookies didn't do a thing.
I can now view the "normal view" at the office. However, it still switches back to the white page with the hyperlinks while I browse through the pages. Another member suggested clicking ctrl-f5 to clear the page. Doing so does work, but I did want the forum admins to know that there are still issues with the hyperlinks showing up.

This is just your browser trying to use the cached page info instead of reloading it. If you clear your cache it should stop doing that.
