Those of you who are part of a book club IRL, who is in it? Is it co-workers, friends, church group, etc? I would love to join one, but don't really know a lot of people where we live. And I work 70 miles from where I live, so co-workers aren't a good option for me.

I'm no help. A friend and I are trying to get one started, but we can't even seem to get ourselves there and it's just us. I think it would be easier if we had more people, but so far everyone is all "I'll come hang out and drink wine with you, but I'm not going to read the book."
Have you checked out your local library? Ours has a few that meet at different times. I've never been because I'd rather try to rally my friends, but it may be a good place to start.

My local (non-chain) bookstore had a list of bookclubs in the area because they offer a discount on the month's selected books. Also check your library, Meetup and Craigslist. Personally, I started my own club because I couldn't find one I liked, either books I don't like or the schedule didn't work. The clubs I saw mostly were groups of friends that opened membership to the public.

I was invited by coworkers, and their group is mostly their college friends. I don't think you can search for clubs on it, but we use bookmovement.com to plan meetings and communicate with the group. It's really helpful once you do get a group started.
