I'm cranky

H just lost $69 per paycheck with the new tax breakdown which is almost $1800 for the year. I can't contribute much because I can only work when we have free child care ie him or MIL. The only thing I can do to help right now is cancel my Y membership. Wahhhhh. He doesn't want me to "as long as I go" but it goes on my credit card which has officially hit its limit.

And Amelia is cranky too and fighting her nap.

And it's rainy.

That sucks, all of it. If we lived closer I would offer to watch A for you, the girls would have a blast I'm sure.

Aw thank you! I really don't need anything except for a place to whine. We could have it worse. Oh and a play date on Sunday . I'll message you shortly!

That's the painful thing about temporary tax holidays- it hurts when they end!  Between the extra payroll taxes and losing DH's locality and danger pay while he was in the States for Christmas, our first paychecks of the year were a lot smaller. 

Sorry the weather is crappy there.  I hope Amelia finally took her nap for you!

Amelia took 2 naps because she is a holy terror getting into everything.

Re the tax holiday, I just never really noticed because I have always been a tipped employee. H has been getting paycheck for a while now but until a year ago I was bringing in enough cash that I probably wouldn't have even noticed the 2% decrease in his check. Now I have each check budgeted out. I should just be thankful that I have a job that I can pick up a shift here and there. I could make it up with just one extra good shift a month. It could be worse. I'm still just not used to not being able to pick up when opportunity arises. In a perfect world I should get a day job at the Y and earn a free membership like I had in college. Maybe I could start a smoothie bar!

Ooh, running a smoothy bar sounds fun.  Especially if it's an adult smoothie bar. 

As for the taxes, it could be worse, but it's still never fun to be taking home less money!

Yeah, I hate money We saw a lot less money too. It sucks.
