typing errors - no biggie. Obama had the number of state in the US wrong.
Yeah - I love the thread title - Mitt Romney probably personally created that.
As for the Obama had the number of states wrong - that wasn't a typo by his staff - he said it. I don't think we want to go tit for tat on this stuff - Obama has a nice number of gaffes out there.
that got the number of states wrong always irritates me. wasn't it the number of primaries there were since places like the DR vote too? So he got the number right but the "state" part wrong?
It was near the end of the campaign and he was exhausted. Speaking at a campaign event he said he had visiting 57 states and had one more to go excluding Alaska and HI. He meant to say 47, it was a slip up.
I am not sure if the number if right if you include primaries.
Is it still hilarious? Hellz yeah. I'm sure someone at the Mitten's campaign headquarters was fired yesterday for this little gaffe. If you're going to create an application that is going to be downloaded a gazillion times and read by a gazillion people, spellchecking is important.
ETA: And, seriously, the Obama thing was idiotic, but also understandable and unintentionally hilarious. Ditto Karin that he was exhausted, at the end of his touring, etc, etc. At least he just did it speaking - not like you have a computer and a billion pairs of eyes to help you spellcheck that.
I wonder if Mitt outsourced the making of this app to China? lol
Plus, its good to know that the buck stops below the guy in charge. That way, any future mistake on Obama's behalf can be met with "he didn't personally give the loan to the car manufacturers!" and will absolve him of all criticism.
Actually wait a minute, is that even on the actual app? It looks like the type is on top of the screenshot. As much as Id love to laugh at this, it looks like a Photoshop job to me.

I agree. Either way, Romney didn't misspell America.

No it's totally real. The interwebz went crazy over it yesterday. There's a new #amercia hashtag on twitter about it.
And apparently the Romney campaign has submitted an updated app to Apple and is waiting on their approval.
That's a pretty bad typo by whoever was responsible. It's not like a random Facebook status update where you're typing too fast and misspell something; this a large graphic and a mistake like that is painfully obvious.
I think stuff like this is so ridiculous. We know Mitt Romney knows how to spell America. We know Barack Obama knows that we have 50 states.
I agree, but I still find it funny.
I know Mittens didn't make the mistake, and I understand that with a long and large campaign, stupid mistakes are bound to happen here and there. It's not a reflection of anything. But even knowing that, I understand why people find these things amusing. Particularly the written bloopers, because the visual is easier to play on than a spoken word. It's the same reason that damn you autocorrect is funny or other types of typos are funny. It's just a silly thing. The app looks ridiculous. It makes me laugh. That's all.

Depends. Gaffe? Funny, no fault. Trying to start a war with no congress or going to war without exhausting all options? Fault.
