First of all, I'm under pressure from our Board of Directors to get some information to them. No problem with that, it's my job.
Added to this, our tenants (of my old apartment) are due to re-sign their lease, the current one expires on Saturday. One of the girls is out of the country and we have no idea where she is. The tenants are basically strangers who share the apartment and agree to one thing and then say "but....." One pays a higher proportion of the rent and wants this in the lease, which we won't put in because that is an agreement among themselves and they owe us the full amount each month, no matter who is living there... Stressful!!!
And then, my payroll guy (who reports to me) is getting all hot under the collar about HR asking him to do stuff that wasn't agreed upon. I calm him down and offer suggestions. But then I get a call from the HR manager saying "we need to talk..." I don't need to ask what it's about. They are both fucking stubborn idiots at times, though there is also someone else in HR who acts like a manager, throws her weight around like a manager and who is not a manager. I know what his point is - they are being ridiculous and treating him like a scivvy. Their point is going to be that he is being awkward and not treating them with enough respect. I am sick of them all and want to bang their heads together!!!! (Obviously, I can't...)

Thanks everyone! The "clear the air" session this morning I hope will work and it was topped off by a little birthday party for my team member with both teams.
And as a surprise today, dh was in the city with N and called me and I met them for a tea - N was so surprised to see me appear from a building, it was sweet!
