Deep Cleaning Brushes

I got my first set of decent brushes not long ago and want to be sure I'm taking good care of them.  I'm reading differing opinions online.  Everything from once a week to once every other month.

How often do you wash yours? 

What's your technique?

I clean mine once a week or so. I use the Sephora brush cleaning shampoo.

When I remember..... which definitely isn't that often. Guess, I'll be putting this on my to-do list for today.

With the exception of my foundation brush which gets washed daily, I try to shampoo mine (I use baby shampoo at the moment) once a week. I'll also sometimes use Sephora's antibacterial spray in between washings if a brush needs to be cleaned.

I use baby shampoo when I remember. Probably once a month, but I should do it more often.

I wipe down with baby wipes after each use and shampoo every couple weeks.

I use beauty blender cleanser 2-3x a month, whenever I remember.

I never thought about Dr. Bronners.  Do you use the Tea Tree or some other scent?

The one I'm using right now is the peppermint one.
