I went for a manicure this morning and I usually just have them push back my cuticles instead of trimming them, but my manicurist trimmed mine this morning. I kind of hate having them trimmed because within a day of so, the "raw edges" start to peel - any suggestions on how to minimize this from happening? Oils? Moisturize like a madwoman?
Ugh, I hate when they trim! I use Burt's Bees lemon butter cuticle stuff, and it helps whenever they feel dry or like they might peel/create hangnails. I keep a pot at my desk, one next to my bed and one in my purse, and use it whenever I some downtime, like on a conference call. Pus, it smells yummy.
I have the sephora OPI cuticle oil pen. I have horrible cuticles, especially now in the winter, so I do this before bed to help keep them soft and not get hangnails. I love it b/c it's just a quick swipe with the brush applicator.

I have an Essie one, I've been using that and they don't look too terrible. The bitter cold hasn't helped.
