I remember it evolving and she eventually said they only owed something like $30k on the mortgage. Everyone was still in agreement that they should have discussed it but I don't remember any more than that. I don't remember her name so I don't know if she has come back or not.
I just googled and it was pitterwoo (I always thought it was pitterbull, lol). She does still post here. The last update was that they still needed to talk more. I wonder what ended up happening.

I was pretty worried for you, Pitter. What did he say about adding you to the title of the house? Is your paycheck still being used for all the joint expenses and spending? Is his paycheck still going into an "extra" account to which you have no access?
H, like me had no idea that in our state I needed to be on the deed for the house. It wasn't about him trying to keep an asset from me or anything. He has not problem with getting me added. Only problem has been that we haven't quite figured out how to do that yet. I thought there was just a form we'd have to file, but they told me we need to get a real estate attorney to do it. I'm just not clear on the procedure.

Which state? I was under the impression that all equity gained on a home during marriage was marital property. I'm not on the deed for my place but considering we have negligible equity it doesn't seem worth it to me to pursue it.
One of our goals for this year is to get our finances in better order. The account with "extra" money has been mostly reallocated to other accounts so it can serve a purpose.

PA. He purchased the home prior to us meeting.
How many years did he own it before you got married? What I was trying to say is all equity acquired during the marriage is joint property in my state.

PA you just need to record a new deed. They don't let you amend the current one (at least in our county)
Any real estate lawyer (or ask your title/closing company for recs, if you have trouble finding a lawyer in your area) should be able to help you draft a new deed with both of your names and submit it to the county.
