My H can down 3 cheeseburgers or a whole large pizza like its nothing, and he never gains weight. If I did that, I would morbidly obsese within 3 months.
H did the same thing. Still eats the same junk as always but just smaller portions and he cut back his iced tea intake. This started in November. He lost 18 pounds. Add in running 2, sometimes 3, nights per week...he's down 42 pounds.
Seriously. H cut out soda completely, but still drinks beer so no dramatic weight loss for him. lol
For me, it seems feeling anxious 24/7 is my weight loss magic bullet. I am down three pounds.
How is he feeling about this Stellas? Does he feel it is something he can stick with? I had to help H with portion control when we got together, not that he was heavy, but i was eating more than he needed to.
Men! H has lost more weight than me since I started my diet and he still eats carbs at two out of three meals a day It also seems he only needs to go to the gym twice to have some visible results.
It's a pattern with him, Cleo. He will drop 30 or so pounds in a few months and then gain it back slowly over a few years.
I think it would be healthier to just maintain, but I figure this way at least he isn't in a steady gain pattern.
I need to get him to exercise. Well, I need to get US to exercise. I get a fair workout running after kids, but his job is sedentary for the most part.
Yep! It's so unfair. He's still eating snacks and drinking beer, just not as much as he used to. The weight is seriously just falling off him! It's definitely something that he needed to do, and I am so proud of him for it, but it is so unfair how easily it seems to be coming off!! LOL
I've never understood how "running after kids" constitutes a workout. Celebrities always claim that; then how come two active kids have made not a dent in my weight? Lol
I'd say it's because they're chasing their kids around a 8,000 sq/ft home compared to our 2,000 sq ft homes. But, who are we kidding, you know the nanny is the one chasing hte kids around while they work with their personal trainer for 6 hours a day

Every day when I am lugging my 18+ lb baby around I think to myself "This better count for something dammit."
I did lose weight when Jack became mobile. But he is fucking insane so you know you have that.
Also last week I was super duper strict about eating. Was within my pts on WW and did 4 intense workouts.
It's so unfair. DH has trouble keeping weight on, whereas if I so much as look at french fries I gain 2 lbs. It's really annoying to live with someone who has a metabolism completely opposite yours. On the bright side, when we did life insurance physicals, my bloodwork results were so much better than his. At least I'm healthy fat!
Before I had M, I was all "oh yeah, carrying her around in this carseat will definitely help my arms thin out and get some definition!". Nope. Still flabby.
My H is like this. I want to punch him when he does this. No soda, a little smaller portions, still eats snacks and voila - magically drops 20 or 30 lbs quickly. jerk.

Fucking men, indeed.
H can eat whatever the hell he wants and won't gain a pound. The heaviest he's ever been was right before DS1 was born. It took him 2 months tops to lose 20+lbs, just by cutting back on fast food. Jerk.

My H eats everything fast food and drinks soda. I do none of this and I eat organic healthy low carb. He gains nothing and I stay fluffy. It's some serious bullshit.
It's definitely irritating. My h stopped drinking coke for 1 week and he has lost 4 lbs. He didn't even stop drinking it on purpose, we just ran out. Lol. He definitely doesn't need to lose weight though. He's 6'3 and now down to 166 lbs. This guy loses weight so incredibly easy, meanwhile I struggle to lose .5 lb a week. Fuckers.
Dh wanted to take some boudoirish photos of me the other day. When I saw the proofs I was all "Ugh, Mom stomach, but heyyyyy my arms look awesome!". Lol.
H is the same way. He's like "I'm going to start working out" and goes to the gym two or three times a week and works out for 30 minutes and drops weight just from that. Meanwhile, I am busting my ass for 6 hours a week and the scale doesn't budge. It's weird, man. But I guess it all evens out because we have the exact same BMI, which I found interesting when we both had doctor appointments the same day.

So last year, H and I both had health epiphanies - not necessarily a joint decision, but we both kind of came to it on our own and then started paying more attention to what we were eating and working out together, etc.
H dropped about 15 pounds, but also gained a lot of definition. I dropped over 20 pounds, but found it harder to build definition.
Cue all of our friends remarking constantly about how good he looks, seriously raving on and on. And... as AWy as this is, I didn't hear a thing from anyone (except H), and it made me sad
