Ob said that I have the choice of waiting and misscarrying naturally but it's just a question of when or scheduling a dnc.
I'm in a bind in that the ob I chose I am not comfortable in having him do the procedure. Two people I know had him and had very negative experiences with him.
I was told a miscarriage expect a fair amount of bleeding and cramping.
I don't know what to do. I'm leaning the dnc but I just dread the thought.
If you aren't comfortable with that doctor doing the procedure then get a referral to one you do feel comfortable with. A miscarriage is hard enough without adding in you not being comfortable with your provider.
I think if you opt for a D&C it's really important that you trust your doctor, because there can be some complications. Is there any chance you could see another doctor for this? Does anyone you know have a 'good' experience with their D&C?
I went for the surgery both times it was up to me because I didn't know if I could emotionally handle physically miscarrying in my home, if that was something I could opt out of, but a lot of people feel more comfortable minimizing the risks with the loss and go this way.
I'm just so sorry. I wish that this hadn't happened and that you didn't need to make this choice. (((hugs)))

I'm sorry. I don't post on this board often, but wanted to tell you to do what feels right. If you want to do the D&C, find someone you are comfortable working with. I had two natural miscarriages. One was measuring 8 1/2 weeks and the other was a twin m/c with similar measurements on one and smaller second fetus. I'm happy to answer any questions about it.
