Fri: I took it easy and rested my foot. We dropped A off at her grandmas house to stay the night, went home and put the kids to bed.
Sat: I made pancakes and eggs for the kids, I enjoyed a couple pancakes myself. It was a nice morning so I took the kids out to ride bikes while J slept, Iz learned how to get going without training wheels and the babies and I ended up playing with a ball in the yard. J wanted to see her uncle that's visiting from Mexico so we cleaned the kids up and went to the IL's. J's sister put a couple movies on while J took her uncle shopping, they were gone for 3 hours, that's a gay man for ya. Everyone was hungry so we all went to Olive Garden for dinner, then we dropped our niece off at home and went home to put the kids to bed.
Sun: I was so bored! I needed to rest my foot since I hadn't on Saturday but I didn't want to be stuck in the house when the weather was so nice. The garden needed watering so I did that, then I ended up going back out to plant the bed I'd been waiting to plant, it was quick and easy so I don't feel bad. I did some chores, watched a movie with Iz, read and made colored spaghetti. Jess came home and made me sit down and rest my foot after the kids were fed/put to bed. I watched Toxic Avenger which is the worst movie ever made, it was ridiculous.
Friday - I worked half a day while the kids stayed home with L (they didn't have school and she was working from home.) I swung by the house and picked them up, dropped them in child care and got my hair cut. I took them to lunch and then home to watch Scandal with L. L convinced us to go to dinner with her, even though the kids and I weren't hungry. L left to write for the weekend.
Saturday - Lazy morning at home. Went to run a few errands before calling to see if the neighborhood kid wanted to play. His family is moving this summer and are cleaning/purging, so his parents asked if I would take him solo. He and the boys fought like cats and dogs for a few hours (they say they want to play with him, but whenever they do, all they do is argue...) Once he went home, the kids watched a movie and then crashed. I watched a movie with Maggie Gyllenhall (sp?) about the invention of the vibrator.
Sunday - Another lazy morning. At lunchtime, a friend from their class came over with her mom. We ordered pizza, made sundaes, took the kids to the playground, and let them play in the playroom all afternoon. It was really nice. I like her mom and the kids love playing with her. When they left, I took the kids back outside for a wrestling match (see FB video.) I got into the action and we were having a great time. Totally wore them out. Watched some Food Network and a bit of the football game before putting the kids to bed.
Today - I've been busy getting ready for the week - laundry, kids' lunches, blah, blah, blah - and am now watching the Inauguration with the kids before going to meet L for lunch and then coming home to help her reconcile her references - and maybe another wrestling match outside.

Mine was bleh with a few bright spots.
Friday: worked really late. C was in bed by the time I got home.
Saturday: Woke up feeling like I had a baseball stuck in my chest and swallowing was painful. I have "silent" reflux and this is usually my first symptom of an exacerbation. Frantic call to my doc's office followed by a bunch of meds and instructions for a "soft foods" diet. Already had dinner plans with a friend from out of town and went anyway, and had tons of fun.
Sunday: Still feeling icky and worn out. I slept a good chunk of the day, menu planned, did a little bit of work, and did a few things around the house. Cooked dinner and went to bed early.
Today: we don't get MLK day off. I don't know why, but I don't like it!

Me and the girls were sick all weekend. Not the flu, no ear infections just a really nasty nasty cold. The girls are barely sleeping so obviously neither are we. I am ready to ditch this sickness and be well and have delightful wonderful children again and I never thought i would say this but I am so sick of holding them. That is all one of them wants is to be held.
I think we will only work half day today
its my Birthday week so things have to get better!
Mister Baby and I both caught Lady Baby's cold. We're still dealing with lingering effects of the stomach bug and the kids are just very, very cranky. A lot of wailing at naps, and this weird, toneless whining Mister Baby does when he is unhappy. Also I am not sure when but at some point having noses wiped and getting dressed became THE BIGGEST TRAGEDIES ON EARTH, so that has been fun. I feel bad for both of them and can't wait for them to be healthy and happy again.
We managed to pass the stomach bug to my mom and we're trying not to pass on our colds as well, and it has been freezing here, so we pretty much stuck around the house all weekend. We got a lot of cleaning and organizing done in time for Jen's mom's visit (she arrives Wednesday), meal planned, grocery shopped, etc. And I finally finished my Christmas thank you cards.
We also decided to give up on cloth wipes. Between the stomach bug and solids, I'm just not feeling it anymore. I still love our cloth diapers and we'll continue using those, but the cloth wipes are being phased out when we run out of the solution we use on them.
The highlight of the weekend was giving the kids Cheerios for the first time. It was fun and the dogs happily ate the 10,000 Cheerios they threw on the floor, so there was no clean-up!

Friday: I picked up E and we went to meet my nephew for the first time! It was great to hold a teeny tiny baby. The folks were here and spent the weekend with us which continues to be a challenge with their crazy dog.
Saturday: Lazy morning, A came over and eventually we went to dinner with friends and the first derby bout of the season! After we got home I was sick followed by E being sick at 6am Sunday and grandma yelling for me because she can't deal with puke. We think it was what we ate since A had horrible indigestion but didn't get sick.
Sunday: Recovery at home. Sent my folks home after doing FaceTime with my bro/sil/babe. In the afternoon A had to go home and get ready for work. E has developed a gunky cough and a low grade temp.
Today: I took a sick day since we don't get the holiday. We're mostly fine though the congestion E has is hanging around. We watched a bit of the inauguration, made brunch and I'm doing the usual laundry, etc. We're venturing out to the store soon as we need groceries!

Oh how i miss you Seattlekari and hope you all feel better we are all major sickos here UGG! CONGRATS AUNTIE!
I love 3 day weekends! Mostly we spent it just hanging out at home and doing random errands. But we watched TV we wanted to catch up on, cooked good breakfasts, worked on planning our Thailand trip, and caught up on random stuff that needed to be done. Sunday night we went to a friend's home for dinner and a movie.
My weekend was awesome and exhausting! I had my postpartum doula training all day Sat & Sun. It was fantastic! But totally wiped me out.
Yesterday, DW was back to work and I had scheduled a baby stuff sale/swap with my mom's group to give us something to do. It was total chaos with kids everywhere and mamas chatting. Sadly, need and supply didn't really match, but only one mama left totally empty handed, and I made $55
Friday night we got Chinese takeout and it was amazing. I have a love/hate with Chinese food. I havent eaten it in 5 or so years because it always makes me feel gross and greasy but we found a new place through Yelp and it was every bit as amazing as the reviews. Open kitchen, no MSG, not greasy, crazy clean, and so, so good. We caught up on Scandal. Love that show!
Saturday k reffed and N and I played at home. When she got home, I worked and she played with N and cleaned.
Sunday same as Saturday. K reffed and we hung out at home.
Monday same. Reffed and cleaned and worked. We had planned to go to Hensmums GTG but all those kids and all the sickness that is going around, kept us home. I'm doing my very best to get through this winter without whatever is going around.
Highlight: Last night we found the baby's heartbeat on a home doppler!! Eek!!! We saw the baby and heartbeat, a few weeks ago, but we hadn't heard it yet. I didn't expect to find it so early. I've looked a few times but only picked up mine. Last night, clear as a hell and crazy fast, we heard the baby! After having a late miscarriage previously, it was everything I needed, to get me through the last two weeks.
Friday night K and I went out (and yes, I had the babysitter come early, but of course I didn't get to nap) and had a nice time a food/wine charity event.
Saturday was a lazy day around the house and then I took JB to a friend's b-day party.
Sunday JB and I drove to MA to meet with a friend from CA who has been in Boston for awhile. We met halfway at a children's museum so the kids could play. I was great catching up with my friend and watching out kids play (my friend and I have known each other since we were 5).
Monday JB went to school and K and I did some much needed shopping and cleaning.

Awesome!!! How long is your training class? Such an exciting step to take.
The in-person training part is over now. I have online material and exams to do, books to read, recommendations to get, and I need three initial clients to work with and get recommendations from as well. I can actually start taking clients any time now! And I'll be officially certified likely within the year.
Friday Night-Birthday party for one of E's classmates. Typical party at my gym but the parents brought wine and beer so that was nice.
Sat-Totally lazy day. I can't even remember what we did. Played some but nothing very interesting. At some point Ella found sidewalk chalk and wanted to play with it. Of course it was dusk so I ended up outside on the sidewalk (our driveway is gravel) in the dark doing chalk drawings. We live on a busy street. I am sure our neighbors thought we were crazy. We also ran around the back yard for a bit.
Sunday- We cleaned up for people to come over to watch the game. I met the girl I tutor at the library for a while. I made the most amazing s'mores bars and ate way too much with all the food people brought over. We will not speak of the game.
Monday- Watched downton abbey and hung out with the family. Cleaned up from having people over and made a yummy lentil soup. I obsessively watched the weather since we were supposed to have a storm and I was hoping for a snow day. No go on the snow. Storm was a total bust and I am at work.
Z went to her previous foster family's house for respite We weren't going to do respite, but she has a great relationship with them, calls them aunt & uncle, and it was actually relieving. For all of us. We are hoping for once a month,
Fri made pizzas & did nails with carrot.
Sat- L ran a half marathon, then friends were going to come over for brunch after. All the kids and moms were doing so well, they stayed for dinner . An easy, low key day that made me want sister wives
Decided to go to a watermark with the two families over Easter
Sun- baked cookies, did some organizing, realized carrot grew out of all her size 5 shirts, ran to target and the secondhand kids store, celebrated my moms bd
