I have been a sahm for 9 years with on and off part time positions through the years. My degree is Elementary Education. I am looking to apply for a position within Girl Scouts that is perfect for me, but I don't know how to handle my resume and my spotty job history. Help! Thanks!
Does your part-time work relate to the position you're trying to get?
I would definitely address in the cover letter, but don't be afraid to leave things off your resume. Just list "Related Professional Experience". You might address those positions in another section of "Other Experience", and list it as slightly more general, like "3 years experience school library assistant" or whatever the case may be. You could also include volunteer work in that section.
You might be better off doing a non-chronological resume and focus more on a skills-based resume.
