In his interview, he said that at the time, he didnt think he was doing anything wrong and didnt think it was cheating. So, presumably, he wouldn't have tried that hard to hide it from her. But who really knows. He seems pretty crazy. I'm guessing she at least suspected, but probably knew.

I admire people who are passionate and dedicated. I do not admire people who cheat, lie, and use others, and then have no remorse because they are so "dedicated and passionate" that they can't admit that they're simply not the best (anymore).

She had to have. That guy is an arrogant asshole and there had to be some kind of excuses for his behavior while they were dating (I'm assuming. I don't think there are many polite performance enhancement drug takers).

She probably knew. All that shit has side effects. He would have had to either tell her or explain it away somehow. For example, a common side effect of EPO/blood doping is jaundice. What was he going to say to her about that?

"Oh, don't worry honey. It's just a little hepatitis. See you in the bedroom!"
