I've been on hold waiting for a person to make an appointment for almost 25 minutes now...
I'm even using 2 different phones/calling 2 numbers.

After a total of 25 minutes on hold I finally got through. they tried to give me an appointment to see doc who would then give test orders in 2 weeks (so tests in 2.5 weeks at the earliest), which would mean another lost cycle (cycles are approx 26 days). That just got to me and I actually started crying on the phone, which apparently did the trick, because suddenly the doc is able to give me a phone appointment tomorrow, after which she can give test orders, which means I might be able to get actual tests done this cycle.

The lady was super nice though. I guess she's used to crying and/or hormonal chicks and knows exactly how to deal with them. (Which in many cases is just give them what they want, as you'll never get rid of them if you don't!)

I did that once. I was getting passed around from person to person and no one knew what in was supposed to do. I finally broke down on the poor nurse who got me last and bawled. Which is very unlike me. But it worked.

Sorry you had so much trouble just to make an appt! I've worked in healthcare, and sometimes the nurses hands are tied. They can't do certain things without the OK from a doctors. I try to be patient, since I've been in their shoes many times.
