...for the second time this winter. I have determined the culprit, which is exposed skin when the windchill is below zero. I'm really not a fan of Chicago at this moment.
Anyone have any windburn/chapped skin remedies? I am seriously considering rubbing Hyland's diaper ointment on my face whenever I have to go outside.
Oh, how I don't miss living in the midwest on mornings like this.
I don't have any magic remedies, but keep as much skin as you can covered at all times. Use lotion liberally. I have actually heard of people using vaseline on their faces, but I can only imagine what that does to your skin in terms of breaking out. Drink a lot of water and use a humidifier while you're inside.

Ditto on the Aquaphor just a thin schmear- also that UTTER cream that was for cows but now sold for people. I have eczema so i get patches and those are the two i use.

Ooh! I have Aquaphor! I can't imagine it's going to make me look pretty, but maybe I can work on rocking the ruddy cheeked milkmaid look.
twomoms - I've used the Udder Cream before but not on my face. Cetaphil cream used to be my best eczema remedy, but I stopped using it because it made my face too oily. Looks like I need entirely different skincare for winter vs. summer. I guess this is probably eczema and not hives, but the patches are just so red and swollen.
Kershnic - a humidifier is a great idea. My office is especially dry.
