I received an email this morning from a former boss. I last worked for her back in 2010 full time. I also worked part time from May 2011 - March 2012 when she contacted me before, however I worked under a different manager. She contacted me today about being a contractor for them again.
I am hoping it is for part time work as I currently have been a SAHM to my daughter since I left in March of 2012. Last time I only worked 2 days a week. So what I need help with is possibly drafting an email asking if I could have my old arrangement back.
Also since I would be a contractor, my manager woul not be telling me the payrate. Last time I had to assk for the payrate from the contracting company before I officially accepted. So since ths time I would need childcare for the days I work, I would need to know upfront guess if it is worth it.
So if anyone could help me find a way to email her back that sounds professional please help.
Are you currently employed? I am looking for a contractor that has experience with (system A) and (System B), wondering if you’d be available and wanting to come back to (Company Name) as a contractor?
The response above work well. You could also say "Thanks for thinking of me! I am open to contracting on a part-time basis. If that fits your needs, please give me a call at X and we can discuss the possibility further.
