So after last week's rant about how there was nothing decent to buy, my sister and I went on an all day shop-athon yesterday.
If you're near a Gordman's...they actually had fun new stuff. I stopped shopping there becuase it was all the same, all the time year after year. It was really good yesterday. Got a couple cute things.
Kohl's was a disaster, but they have $5.00 Dr. Suess books for charity, I spent my gift card on those, new socks and a bootcamp workout set I wanted somewhere else but was 1/2 price at Kohls.
And I'm either getting old or Christopher and Banks is restyling. My Mom and MIL love it, so my sister and I were all, "Mom clothes! Yay!" However, they had a super sale and had some cute things. I got a tunic-y silky blouse for skinny jeans, and basic but classic sweaters. Some with a hood, some v-neck and a couple basic cables. Nice and fitted without being skin tight or deep Vs that show off the goods. We both wanted layering tanks without shelf bras, super skinny straps that we couldn't see through...they had nice ones on good sale too. Not that I'd take up an entire wardrobe from there just yet (the pants and skirts are pretty matronly) but it was good. I got like 10 things for less than $100.00.
Herberger's also had some homestuff I hadn't seen before that was cute.
Target was still Target and all the other mall stores were well..just there. I decided I'm at a weird age. It's all tween girl clothes or oldy clothes for the most part.
