Boring Q: When did your kid get his/her first toof

I swear on all that is holy Leo has been teething on and off for a month now. He is almost 8 months and no tooth.

Jack teethed early so toothless baby thing is foreign to me. When did your kid pop their first tooth?

DS was 10 1/2 months old before he got a tooth. I kept swearing he was getting one and, nope, nothing.

Maybe 7 months? Then they started coming in with reckless abandon. LOL

C was about 5 months. K was maybe 8 months? B was 6 months.

Hunter was exactly 6 months, and Amelia got her first right before her first birthday.

Around 8 and 9 months, DS popped 7 of them pretty quickly. He had 7 teeth until he turned 1 about a week ago and he got a molar then. his mouth is very lopsided, tooth wise.

I kind of hope he gets them all in quick.

Jack has a high pain tolerance so I never knew when he was teething. They would just pop out. My Leo is a bit more sensitive.

4 months, but started showing signs at 2 months. Early teething runs in H's family.

This is my son. I just know I'm going to be "blessed" with a high needs teether for the next one. :/

Mine had one tooth at her first birthday. She was a super slow teether the whole way through. It was terrible. =(

K was just shy of five months when the bottom two popped through. She was done by 10 months, except for the late molars.

Both my SIL's kids were over a year before they got any of their teeth.

The crappy thing about the delay in teething is I was much more used to not getting sleep around 5-6 months old than I am now. So if he decides to eff up my world and start sleeping bad I am going to feel like I got hit with a mack truck all over again. Silly babies

I think both of my kids were close to 11 months when they got their first tooth.

Also I am starting to feel like I have that disorder where you make up illnesses for your kids lol. Leo rarely cries so last night for example, he starts screaming bloody murder and trying to chew on his wash cloth from bath. I think "Ooooh boy this is it. The teeth are coming in" and radio silence on the tooth front. I have been dosing him up with motrin and using hyland tablets on an off for a good month now lol. I sort of feel crazy for even saying I think he is teething because I have been saying that for a long time now.

Then the second at 10 months, then nothing until the past few weeks. It's all normal

I was wondering this today too. My kid is 7 mos, and doesn't have one yet. I think babies are cuter with gummy smiles, so I'm hoping he doesn't have one for his pro pics in a few weeks. I'm vain.

They started teething at 4m (like, when the teeth rise but don't try to break through yet, and everything gets lumpy).

First tooth broke through at 5m.

Now Marc has 7 and one on the way and Gabe has 8.

I did this for awhile, but then gave up on the tylenol after no teeth bothered to show up for weeks on end. My SIL, who is a pediatrician, has been saying that her bottom teeth are coming in "any day now" for the last 6 months, so don't feel bad.

Don't feel crazy Eddy. I was convinced a tooth was popping through any minute from like 3 months on. I finally mentioned it to our pediatrician and he said that every time the tooth moves up a bit, it hurts them and they can chew on things, drool, etc to relieve the pain. He said it can go on like that for a loooong time before you ever see a tooth pop through. Made me feel less nutty as he truly was showing teething behaviors for months before we ever saw a pearly white.

I kept doing this, too.  I blamed anything and everything on teething.  Feels a little warm? Teething.  Wakes up at night? Teething.  Fussy? Must be a tooth.  When his bottom tooth finally did come in there was really no symptoms.  It was a complete surprise when I looked in his mouth and saw the tooth had broken through.

Also, uuuuh what does it look like when the teeth are close to coming in? His gums are completely white on the bottom. But no bumps. Am I crazy or is that something?

Eh, white and lumpy for us. Gabe will get white gums and then the lump and a day or two later it will break through. Marc is bump then white.

Okay so I need to wait for a lump before I start to plan his first tooth party. Got it.

Sew-That actually makes me feel less crazy to hear they can move and then stop moving.

This is the downside of having a first child who made so many things easy. I feel very ill-equipped for simple stuff right now.

I've been doing this for months. We are at 10.5 months and neither one has any teeth!  The pedi said she thought she felt one coming in at their 6 month appt. so I've been blaming teething for all crankiness and bad nights since.

I only saw a white bump on J's gums for the bottom 2 teeth. Other than that, things would just get puffy and then a tooth would eventually pop through.
