I'm sooo hungry, please help me. I think this nursing is taking its toll. We eat really healthy and I think I need to increase the healthy fat in my diet.
(I'm thinking along the lines of whole fat Greek yogurt, nuts, etc. and even less healthy but not chock full of preservatives stuff.)
What are you favorite fattening, but moderately healthy foods?
Would you do protein shakes?? those help me stay full for sure...I use some protein powder from the health food store and add skim milk and ice cubes, and then whatever "Fun" stuff I want...fruit, peanut butter, etc. I like adding a spoon of peanut butter and jam, or I know this is really bad but I love peanut butter and a tsp of butterscotch pudding powder

I don't like protein powder either. What about Luna bars or some other "protein" bar? They won't help if your stomach is legit empty (because there's not a lot to them) but if you're just needing to increase protein, they're a good option.
When I was nursing, I needed more protein. If you're not vegetarian, more meat helped me a lot. I ate so much lean pork and chicken (and I usually hate chicken but I totally craved it while bfing). I didn't realize how much I wasn't eating before (I love carbs otherwise and pick them everytime!). I also needed more calories than I thought. Fruit helped with that.
The nuts and avocado are great ideas as are hard boiled eggs that you can keep in the fridge to grab for an easy snack. Granola is also usually high in calories.
The protein powders are usually made of whey - so if your LO is really sensitive to cow's milk proteins, that may not be the best idea.
