Depends on what time of day it is but usually. We typically go on weeknights right before they turn the pumps off and don't have to wait. I wouldn't go near there on a weekend afternoon.
No. But we have a grocery store that offers gas discounts, and there are always lines at their stations. I think that alleviates some of the Costco traffic in our area.
But also, I only go to Costco at non-peak times, like weekday mornings. So I don't see what the evening and weekend lines are like.
Yes, always. I'm always shocked at how long people will wait with their engines idling to save .10 per gallon on gas. For my car that would be ~$2 savings.....not worth the time or money to me!
I'm not a member, but there's a Costco by work so sometimes I stop there for gas. I've never waited for more than one car, and their attendants are always super-nice.
The only time I saw a notable line was after Hurricane Sandy and gas was in short supply. People waited around two hours or more.
Usually. But it's usually not super long, maybe 2 minutes of wait time.
This. I've never seen the line more than 2 cars deep. But I can almost always get a better deal on gas if I use my Kroger points at our local Shell station, so I imagine others are doing the same.
Carmen-- did you know that the Brookhaven Costco is getting gas? I'm not looking forward to it, because that means fewer parking spaces and that lot is always packed with people going across the way to the gym.

I think I saw something about it the last time I was there, but I don't know when. Do you happen to know? I wonder where they'll put it.
At least the Brookhaven Costco lot is laid out better than the Perimeter one. I always feel like I don't have to walk quite as far to get to the store. Perimeter I feel like I walk a mile every time... maybe it's just my imagination.
Now if only Brookhaven would get a liquor store. (See where my priorities lie....)

I don't know when it's coming. The pumps will be closest to the tire part. We love the Brookhaven store. I agree that the liquor store is the only thing missing. But we aren't big drinkers, so it doesn't bother me much.

Yep, ours is busy (4-5 cars deep in each line, usually) most of the time. And it doesn't move fast. I'll wait if I've got nothing else to do but willingly spend 10 cents/gallon more to just breeze through elsewhere, especially if I have my kids with me.
Never. We're usually the only car. Our Costco is unlike any other Costco. I'm not sure if it's because it's still relatively new? In my last city, it was a zoo on weekends, the gas station always had a line, and every time we shopped anything other than late on a weeknight, I'd remind myself out loud never to come on a (Sunday, Saturday, weeknight right after work).
This one, even on peak hours on weekends, I never have to wait behind more than one person to check out, and usually it's even less.

I try to go around 6:00am and there is never a line at that time. I have waited plenty of times. I typically wait less than most because my tank is on the passenger side and those lines seem to be shorter.
